Should you Buy or Not Buy Used Clothing??

I feel that used clothing does have value to someone somewhere.

You held on to that dress for a few years, and you finally have come to terms with parting ways. You will never lose those added inches off your hips since giving birth to your last child. It is a given fact that a women’s hips do grow wider to prepare the body to give birth.

No, you are not fat! Just a different shape than your younger self.

Do you throw your favorite dress away?

No, someone else may love that dress. It still has life.

You take it to a recycling center, and they bring it to salvation or a secondhand store.

There are hundreds of people that shop at salvation or secondhand stores every day—even those who can afford new clothes. Old clothes are worn, but they are comfortable. This is because all that starch has finally been washed away.

We have a center in my hometown where everyone can go there every other week and shop for used clothing. The money is donated to a good cause. It is only $5 for a box or bag of clothing.

Another place to pick up used clothing is at yard sales.

The only clothing I do not recommend buying used is underwear, bras, bathing suits, hats for hygienic and health reasons.

Buying and selling used clothing is good for the environment. Our landfills have enough waste, and someone may need a winter coat, but they don’t have the money to buy a new one. They might be starting over or down on their luck. Your used favorite just brightened someone’s day.
