A year or so ago, I discovered that I like making soap. One special blend that I make is inspired by my recently deceased son, who passed away suddenly during Memorial Weekend at the young age of 34. He was an avid fisherman. He was so happy when he was catching fish. However, he was not as happy when he would break out with poison ivy.
He would try the calamine lotion by just about dousing the entire bottle to his body with the hopes of subduing the neverending itch. Then a friend of his gave him his first bar of Jewelweed Soap. The soap worked instantly.
Jewelweed soap is hard to find. I searched everywhere back then and couldn’t find it.
Last year, I made my first batch of Jewelweed soap and gave it an enjoyable scent that men and women would like. Hickory and Suede.
